It's Saturday...FINALLY

Oh my goodness, it is finally Saturday. That was one long week. Today Erika was completely off schedule which in turn led our entire day to be off schedule! She woke up at 4:30 and wanted no part of going back to sleep. I was so so so tired when her and I went downstairs. I kept falling asleep on the couch while she was playing. It was crazy because I could feel her opening my hands and putting blocks in them! Then she was stacking blocks on top of me. I could not stay awake for anything! The grand finale was she took the small fruity cheerios (which are sticky) and spread them from one end of the carpet to the other. That's the way the day started.
Originally Peter had plans of taking Erika out today to his office and out to lunch. But then she went down for a nap at 10:30 which made everything later. I caved in and slept while she slept too. When both of us got up it was time for lunch and I still needed to shower! So we went to a different park that is nice but not in an area that I can go without Peter. So we played for a little while but it was chilly too! So we didn't stay half as long as I normally would. I could hear Erika's cough increasing so figured her body had enough.Do you see the head of hair on this kid??? She has some great hair. This summer I want to take her some place that does stylish short hair cuts for toddlers. I bet they could have some fun with that head of hair. After the park the three of us shared a large fry! At Erika's request of course. That was funny too because I told Peter "she really only eats about 3 or 4 and then she is done." Not this time! She kept saying more more more! After that Daddy and Erika went to the pet store and I did some small shopping.
When we came home I was about to clean up the living room disaster but then instead we went to visit Belle and her foot. She is still not walking on it and apparently it is a sprain not just bruised. We had some feel better gifts in a basket for her and were anxious to go cheer her up!I think the gifts did the trick because look at that smiling face! She is adjusting to not walking by resorting to crawling. It was so cute to me because then when Erika saw that Belle had to crawl, Erika got down on all fours and crawled with her. I was very proud of how Erika was behaving. When Belle first started looking through her basket, Erika wanted to help her of course. I told Erika to let Belle do it and she listened and just watched. Such a good girl.We stayed by Belle's for about an hour and a half. Came home for dinner and off to night night for Erika. She was so beyond tired! It was a nice day with my baby girl.
