Back To The Doctor?

This morning Erika coughed the entire way in to work/Maureen's. I thought to myself "could she really be getting sick again?" The thought of this just made my tummy in complete knots! It is so super stressful having your child sick all the time but then to add the fact that I need to go to work and leave her with someone else just quadruples the stress!

Peter called Maureen during the day to see how Erika was doing and the report was not good. Coughing all through lunch, red face and not sleeping well. When I went to pick Erika up after work, Maureen suggested Erika return to the doctor. I kinda thought why bother, I have been through this before. But decided to take her anyway. Especially because this was a different doctor.NOPE! Same story as always. What Erika keeps catching is viral and it's just part of being her age. The doctor said that she is going to catch whatever virus is out there whenever she is in contact with other kids. Frustrating but honestly I am coming to terms with it. I have spoken with a few mommies and they have told me that they went through the same thing especially if their child was or is in daycare.

And so I will do my best to keep her healthy and do all I know how to do. But as I understand it, this is completely normal and she is just building up her immune system. When her kindergarten friends are all absent in 3 years from now...she will be in class everyday and then she can tutor them on the side!
