A Nice Day With Erika

Today was a great day with Erika. Daddy had a slightly rough night with Erika but today went well. For some reason she decided to get up last night from about 3:30 till 5:00. I had attempted to put her to sleep and even went against all rules and put her in bed with us but that didn't work so Daddy got up and dealt with the situation. he always has this whole list of people that he goes through with her that are sleeping. It goes something like this "Aunt Judy is sleeping, Carol is sleeping, Jason is sleeping, Mommy is sleeping, Bob is sleeping, Burt is sleeping, Daddy wants to be sleeping...and Erika should be sleeping." Most of those people are our surrounding neighbors that Erika knows. His talk with her and list of sleeping people usually does the trick!

Then Erika was up again by 8:00 (I think). No huge Saturday breakfast today...we are getting too fat! So I made Erika some breakfast and we just salivated while she ate. It was a little difficult not making my usual pancakes. Especially because i have now perfected fresh blueberry ones and mini chocolate chip ones! Mmmmmm...YUMMY!

Then I had to go learn and help set up for coffee hour at church. I will be responsible for setting up for the second Sunday of every month. I had fun learning and helping out. Meanwhile, Daddy was at home with Erika while she was napping. Later on in the day, Erika and I went out to run some errands. I can't remember the name of the song right now but Erika is singing the words to another song from that bible cd that my mother gave her. I was actually laughing out loud in the car hearing her sing it. And to top it off, I could tell she thought she was hot stuff.

Erika was in a really fun mood today. I think her health is improving everyday which in turn is helping her mood. I have been pumping her full of vit C and also a daily dose of jaro-dophilus. Sounds interesting right? I really truly have been working on boosting her immune system in every way I know how. In the mean time, without getting into the details....Erika will be entering a change in her child care situation. This is a good thing and there will be more details to follow.
