Today was a very busy day for Erika and I. Sadly, my good friend lost her father earlier this week. And so today Erika and I went to the wake. It seems that Erika has been to way too many wakes in her 19 months of life. Erika and I were ready and out of the house by about 10:30 which was a real effort!
I am so so proud of Erika's behavior today. She took a little while to warm up when we got there but once she did, she was so friendly and so sweet. I was really really proud. Also many people were complementing me on how cute she is. I was teasing a few of my other friends that were there and when they said "oh she is just so adorable" I would say "yeah I guess she is alright."
After the wake I had a 2:00 Dr appointment. I have been battling something since Saturday and figured maybe I should get checked. It feels like a sinus infection. Well boy oh boy was there a change in Erika today at the doctor! Last time I took her she was screaming because she thought we were there for her. This time she walked in all smiles and giggles!
But then the best part was when our friend Hariklia (a nurse there) made Erika these balloons out of the latex gloves. It was HYSTERICAL! And Erika was thrilled. She was like a different child the entire visit. So beyond silly. I told the doctor that I have never seen Erika behave like that. She was not bad at all just filled with happiness. It was GREAT!
