Fun Times With Grandma

What better way to spend Presidents Day than with Grandma?? Yup the first day of my week off, Erika and I met up with my mother. We went for a lunch first. I was smart this time and brought Erika some ham and cheese. I always have to buy her something and sometimes it isn't a big hit which ends in a waste of money. So this worked out much better. My mother and I had some chicken tacos which were very yummy.

We also exchanged some Valentines Day goodies. I only have pictures of my mother opening hers from Erika though. The ones from my mother were opened at a different time. I love Erika's interested expression in that picture. Today I also did something different by having my mother sit next to Erika instead of me. Usually no matter who i am with, i always sit next to Erika to keep her as well behaved as possible, entertained and well fed. Well, let me tell you, it was NICE to have a break from all that work and sit solo! AND she did great sitting over there by Grandma.
When Erika and I came home we both took a late afternoon nap...which led to a late bedtime for Erika. She got so many great gifts from Grandma. A working microwave, two shirts, pj's, tub toys (as seen in the photo above) and a Cat in The Hat stuffed animal. Erika is one lucky girl because I think Grandma got confused and thought it was Christmas! THANK YOU GRANDMA! Anyway, it was a very nice day and a great way to start the week off. Tomorrow might be a pj day...who knows!
