Things have been going REALLY well for Erika. A fresh change in child care has made a HUGE I mean HUGE difference in Erika's life...and her parents. I know I already posted that but I am just feeling it so much that I needed to say it again. My heart is content and my lips are smiling!
This afternoon, I was in the kitchen getting a drink and Erika asked for a snack. So I made her a little bowl of snacks and when I gave it to her she said "Thanks Mom." I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Sometimes she just surprises me with the things she says. I assume that will always happen. Even when some of my students say things sometimes it makes me chuckle. That's the great part of children, they are constantly making adults smile!
A recent favorite of Erika's is Barney. I am fine with this because he actually teaches some really great concepts like manners, sharing and loving one another. All great concepts for a healthy child and adult. Sometimes when we come home she asks me right away to put the song Barney dvd that we have on. Then we dance and just be silly with each other. It is the best part of my whole day. Just sitting on the floor and loving my girl.
Last night Erika must have had a bad dream because all of a sudden at about 12:30 in the morning she woke up with aloud screeching scream. It scared the you know what out of both Peter and I. My heart was racing! Peter went in and made it all better. He really is such a GREAT Daddy. Erika is so lucky to have him...and so am I.And now for a little video...

I am so glad things are going well with the new childcare. I know that is a big burden off your heart. She looks so much more grown up each time you post. I love the video too, she is SMART! I love how she put her paci in her mouth like Mommy I have my paci now don't ask me to sing Happy Birthday again. LOL Isn't it funny how attached to those paci's they get? Mine love them too!
