Mommy and Daddy's First Date...

since Erika was born! Today Erika spent some time with her new friend Brooke. We had plans to leave Erika at Brooke's house from about 11:30 - 3:30. Our thoughts were - a movie and maybe some pizza or a salad.
Well, who would have thought being away from Erika to see a movie would be so difficult. Both Peter and I couldn't stop thinking about her. We tried to talk about other things but inside we were both wondering how Erika was doing and missing her. It was a different feeling from when I go to work. That is difficult to but this was worse.We went to see Gran Torino which was another really great movie. However completely different than Fireproof. Anyway, I held my cellphone the entire time...just in case. Peter had BOTH of his cellphones with him. And when we got out of the movie we decided to pick Erika up an hour early instead of eating because we just missed her like crazy. WOW what an experience. Erika did great without her parents....it was us that had the problem! But I must admit, it was nice to have a date after almost 20 months! We were both like children on Christmas morning just to see Erika again. Awwww....both Peter and I are so blessed to have Erika.
