Erika is still battling her cough so mostly it was a snuggling Sunday! Peter has been doing great with Erika while I try to deal with the foot. I went out today to try and get some kind of shoe or anything type of footwear that I could wear to work. That was far from an easy task. My foot is so
swollen that it barely can even get into a double wide!!

This picture is so similar to the
first one but I love the cute little girl look on her face in this picture too so - yup had to share it. Peter has taught Erika to say her own name which is so sweet. He shows her pictures of herself in the
living room and then she says it. She says the word hanger too because I have a baby hanger in the tub (why I don't know) and I always say hanger and one day she said it too - but her version of course. Something that
resembles "
ganga."
Awwwww
We decided to be responsible parents today and not take Erika to Sunday school so that she is not coughing all over the other children...even though i think that is where she keeps getting sick. So in the mean time I think both of us (not Erika)
went crazy with some of her stuffed animals. And look
there's Bob too! It was fun and Erika was very pleased with our creation. She has more animals but they are in her bedroom. These are just the living room dwellers!

By the way I keep meaning to mention that
Erika is 24 pounds 13 ounces and 33 1/4 inches tall. The doctor was very pleased with all she is doing and he always tells us she is advanced...does he tell all the Mommy's that??

A little foot news -I think the incision may be infected. I am calling in sick on Monday which was when I was scheduled to return to work and heading to the foot
Dr. That's the last thing I need is an infected incision above a bone! YIKES!

Erika is totally obsessed with going outside. She always says "side, side?" She has liked being outside since day one but now that is all she ever wants to do. She cons peter into taking her out -
A LOT! Sometimes she even grabs her sweater herself and says "side, side?"

This makes me laugh because when she was a baby I tried so many times to take "the baby in a basket picture." But she would always cry. And NOW she is putting herself in there! Like I always say - just when you think you have them figured out they go and change again!
WHAT WAS THAT??? YOU SAID YOU WANT TO SEE THE FOOT?? WELL OKAY IF YOU INSIST!

First of all OUCH on the foot!!! Thanks for sharing though! I love Erika in the basket so amazingly cute. If one thing I have learned as a mommy was definitely from you. The "just when you have them figured out" sentence!!! I keep that in mind when we do attitude changes around here. That and "it is just a phase"
She is a smart girl and you can tell her that Arjun is almost 20lbs so he is catching up in weight, but not in height!
