Oh my baby girl...how I miss taking care of her. It wasn't easy sending her off to Michelle's every day even though I knew it was the only way for me to allow my foot to heal. Erika is very active and needs so much attention. Anyway, since I am feeling better today, I was a little bit more involved with taking care of her and I like it no wait I LOVE it!
Last night was an exciting night because Erika said a phrase which is a big deal at this age. She said "Bye Bye daddy" as I was putting her to bed. I am so proud of her. She always says bye bye and sometimes rambles something after it but that was the first time she said something that was right on! Awwww....my little girl is so smart.
Unfortunately she seems to be sick again. Yesterday while at Michelle's she became congested and coughing! Yuck! She had just got over that same thing! I am starting to wonder if she keeps picking this type of sickness up from the Sunday School classroom. Poor Erika was coughing all day and wheezing. Rough day too, waiting at the foot doctor with Daddy for so long!
The good news is that today was Erika's scheduled 16 month check up, which meant she was going to the doctor anyway. So we were able to talk to the doctor about Erika's cold as well. But of course there wasn't too much that he said we can do. Pretty much just said that this is part of being a child!
I will post her height and weight from today's visit tomorrow because the baby book is downstairs and I don't feel like hauling "the foot" down there right now! Here are a few more pictures from today.
