Tuesday night was very rough for Erika...and her parents. She has this terrible cough along with a runny nose and then add in chronic constipation issues and she is a very unhappy little girl which in turn makes for very unhappy parents. We both get so sad seeing her so miserable. She was up every two hours last night. And when I say up, I truly mean up - like for 1 1/2 - 2 hours at a time. Which means not much sleep for Mommy and Daddy.
When she woke up at 4:00 this morning I had to make a decision about going to work or not and I decided it would be best for Erika to have her Mommy care for her today. I am glad I did because I have already made a little progress with her as far as sleeping and, eating and drinking...not to mention the pooping issue too. YIKES!
The pictures on this posting were taken yesterday. Not too sure if I will bother her with the camera today! I have a doctors appointment at 11:00 for Erika and we shall see what they tell me this time. Hmmm...will it be that nothing is wrong with her AGAIN??? That's what they always tell me. She is beyond miserable. Every time she coughs she cries. And guess who she wants the most??? DADDY. In fact I have a cute (although stressful for me) story to share.
Yesterday morning was one of my worst trips in to work ever. The rain was terrible which led to backed up traffic for over an hour. I missed a few important pictures at school for the year book and made it to work with less than 5 minutes to prepare for the day. Anyway, Erika had been sleeping in the backseat peacefully but when the car stopped in all that traffic - she woke up crying "Daddy, Daaaaddddeeee!" So adorable that she loves him so much in yet stressful for me since I was late and could not handle having her crying for Daddy.
Another thing I forgot to mention was from Sunday. Erika has a new very special friend in Sunday school. Delaney who is the daughter of Jennifer. Jennifer is the teacher who was killed in the car accident I mentioned a few weeks ago. It is very touching to my heart to see Erika playing with Delaney and Delaney saying "Erika." Poor Delaney has a big cast on her leg from the accident, but I wish that was the worst of it for her. It breaks my heart looking at her knowing her Mommy is in heaven now.
I end this post with that silly face of my girl.
