This morning it was back to routine for Erika and her family. Lucky parents that we are...she woke us up at 4:30 which means we have both been up since then too. It is a rough time for her to wake up since I am up by 5:00 anyway. I think I have mentioned that before. So she was totally wiped out by the time I was ready for work. She fell asleep in the car very quickly and I had no little voice saying "moon...moon" while I drove to work (in the dark). I am lonely when she sleeps the whole way in.
When we arrived at Maureen's, she woke up from being taken out of the car seat. She is not one of those children that stay asleep through being carried from place to place. he did well going to Maureen except that Maureen and I were talking about how expensive pumpkins are this year and Maureen was holding her all that time when suddenly Erika realized she could be in my arms and then started to cry. Pumpkin conversation was cut short and off to work I went.
All went well at school today. I totally love my job and have hardly if any complaints. As much as I miss Erika...I just love my job so much that it makes it seem okay to be there. If I am happy then i am a good Mommy. When I went to pick Erika up she had no interest in leaving Maureen's. I had to bribe her by telling her that she will see Daddy if we go home! I am glad that she doesn't want to leave. Better than her being miserable there.
She was so silly today on the way home in the car. Chatting away and playing with her feet. We always pass this big balloon that is up for a car dealer ship and without fail Erika points it out to me every time! We made two quick stops on the way home and then finally we were home sweet home.
Which to Erika this means "How can I cause as much destruction as possible?" I guess she reminds me of her Daddy in that respect because I always tell him that he reminds me of the Tasmanian devil! And that is how she is too. Then she decided to pull a new stunt...check it out for yourself...
She climbed n the cart herself and then even positioned herself to get comfortable. However she did fall when she climbs out. She proceeded to do this routine about 3 times and unfortunately I have put the shopping cart away. I don't want her to fall into the fish tank or a table when she is climbing out.
