"Yeah For Grandma & Grandpa!"

So today Erika spent some time with her Grandma and Grandpa. First we met up at Ruby Tuesday's and had a late lunch/early dinner. It was Grandma & Grandpa's treat for our anniversary. It is always a tricky situation taking children out. You spend all the time while ordering and waiting for the food to come - entertaining and feeding them. Eventually by the time your food arrives, they are done eating and ready to go!Luckily, today Erika hung in there really well. I was proud how well behaved she was. I get the salad bar when I go there so that I can get things like cheese and ham for Erika to munch on. She tried my steak but didn't care for it too much. She also tried Daddy's fish which didn't go over too well either.After lunch we came home and Erika showed Grandma & Grandpa all her fun toys. Our living room is like "play land central!" It was so nice to see Erika sit on her Grandpa's lap and enjoy him. It has been awhile since we could get together and I could tell Erika was so happy to spend time with them.We let Erika burn some energy in the yard and then we went for that famous walk...down to the beach. Yup, that is always my routine. Haul everyone down to the beach. Erika doesn't mind, in fact she loves it! Erika had barely napped today and was holding up really well at the beach. Grandma and Daddy walked Erika around while Mommy and Grandpa talked a little. Walking on the beach is a lot of work for those little legs and she does great at it.

Taking time to pose for a family shot. It looks like we have a fake backdrop behind us! It was a perfect evening for a walk by the beach. I have a few pictures like this and I am thinking how cool it would be to line them up and see the changes in Erika.

After the beach we went home to do some more playing and Daddy found a new use for the pool tube that Damiane' gave Erika for her birthday.

I should have videoed Erika giggling because she thought this was so much fun. And she wanted everyone to see her in the tube. Her and Daddy were having a lot of fun. And here is a video from the beach.

And last but not least, this is a picture I took of Erika when she was taking her morning nap. I always catch her in her crib hugging that monkey from our friend Doug and his wife.
