So lets see. Erika woke up at 1:30 last night and I was beyond tired. I slept walked into her room. Held her, rubbed her back, started the music again and laid her down but she cried and cried. I couldn't do it...I turned the monitor low and went back to bed. She eventually fell asleep and all was fine in the morning.
Today we went out for what was meant to be back to school shoe shopping for me and I never even made it to the shoe store. That's actually not a true statement...I did make it to a shoe store - just Stride Rite for Erika. She needed a pair of sneakers and I saw they were having a sale so figured I would check it out. I had them measure her foot and was shocked to find out it is now a size 6 wide! Last time I brought her it was a 4 1/2 wide. I have to look back in my blog to see when that was. I am hardly getting use out of any of her shoes that I have bought her.
Anyway, I bought her a really cute pair with hearts on them and they light up! The problem was that by the time we were done choosing her sneakers, she was already grouchy and ready to head home for lunch and a nap. I really need to go shoe shopping by myself. Erika is just not a shopper and I can't buy for myself under that kind of pressure! take a look at how cute her new sneakers are!
Then after her lunch and long nap, we went to Michelle's house to take care of her sweet dog Riley. Michelle went to spend time with her family in the city and asked if we could feed and walk Riley and of course we said yes! So Erika and I headed over there at about 5:30. When we got there Erika was right at home and she waved hello and said hello to him. It was very cute.
First we fed Riley and then we took him for a nice walk around the neighborhood. He was jumping all around when I asked him if he wanted to take a walk.
Then when we went back home, Daddy was home from work. We showed him the new sneakers and then tried them on. Look how excited she is in the second picture.
Tomorrow is an exciting day...we are going to the Laurie Berkner concert!!!

Her sneakers are really cute! I love the hugs and kisses with the girls. How adorable. Now I know why she likes that singer. OMG the entire audience was kids. She is some performer. Did I hear Erika say "Daddy" when Laurie was singing? Erika has a better social life than we do!!!!!
