Erika and I did a trial separation today. I brought Erika to Maureen's and all her stuff too. At first it took a little bit for Erika to remember the whole scene. She was very clingy and kept saying "Mommeeee." The other little boy Teddy was there and VERY excited to see her. Maureen's two daughters were also there and just as excited.
So then I left Erika there for two hours to kinda "break her in" to the whole situation...and me too. She started to cry a little when I said bye bye but then they took her outside and distracted her. When I got in my car I felt like I was missing a huge part of me and I was! I felt lonely without my baby girl. Pulled in the tears and tried to move on.
When I came back to get her she jumped up and came over and gave me such a beautiful hug! And I could tell she was fine....better than fine...happy and well adjusted. So now I feel much much better and hopefully it won't be too difficult on Tuesday when I go back to work.In other exciting news....Erika's God - Mommy Debbie became a Grandma for the first time TODAY! Baby William Michael is 7 pounds 8 1/2 oz. So adorable. Take a look! Mommy and baby are doing well.

CONGRATULATIONS GRANDMA DEBBIE!!!
