Playing Outside

Today Erika and I spent a lot of time playing outside. First in the morning we ran a few errands. But then after her nap, I set up the yard and we played outside for about three hours. She was so excited when she saw that I had the yard set up for her. It was fun to see her reaction.
Reality is starting to set in that I will be separated from Erika soon. I don't mind going back to work at all. In fact, I am looking forward to it. But the thought of being away from her makes me completely sick to my tummy. I hope she will do better than me. Next Monday we are going to Maureen's to "move back in" and to reacquaint them. I hope Erika is excited to see her and then that will make it all better....maybe.

I told Erika to giver her baby a kiss and that is what she did. We went outside at just the right time because it was later in the afternoon and the sun was already starting to move which put us in the shade. I always cover her in so much sunblock that the white takes awhile to sink in! Probably something I picked up from my parents! But now I see how important it is and I don't want her fresh baby skin getting a burn!
Lucky Erika received a surprise from my friend Kim today! It was wrapped in puppy paper and that was when I discovered that Erika could say the word "puppy." In the picture above Erika is just about to open her surprise. Are you wondering what it is???

Well you can wonder no more! It is an AWESOME book called "Shiny Touchy Smelly." And the pages are so cool, they have scratch and sniff, furry things to touch, and shiny things. On one page there is a dress and an actual piece of fabric like on a wedding vale for Erika to feel. I LOVE this book...and Erika does too! THANK YOU FOR THINKING OF ERIKA KIM!!

This water table has been a constant favorite of Erika's. She won't go in the pool too much but will get soaking wet with cold water from splashing in the water table! Silly girl!
