Today we had a fun visit from Peter's cousin Kurt and his wife Jodi. We haven't seen them since Erika's baptism about a year ago at this time. Kurt and Jodi have always been such strong supporters with Erika and we appreciate them very much. So now onto the details of the visit!
Erika was beyond excited when I told her that they were coming today. Look at her doing her happy dance on the couch! She took a nice three hour nap this morning just so that she would have tons of energy when they arrived. Last night I did a lot of the preparations for today. I made my award wining lasagna. The weight watchers pineapple angel food cake, blueberry muffins and rice pudding. All very very yummy! Then today I made garlic bread sticks to go with dinner. 
Kurt and Jodi are too generous. They had already given Erika a very nice savings bond for her birthday in yet they showed up bearing more gifts today! Two outfits, three books and a Winnie the Pooh! Thank you so much Kurt and Jodi you are too sweet. Erika is lucky to have you in her life.
Cute to see cousins together! Kurt and Peter used to do a lot together when they were younger. Erika took a liking to Kurt right away. Too bad I didn't get a pic but she sat on his lap for a long time as soon as he arrived at our house.
After dinner we took "the walk" down to the beach. Erika had fun as always walking on the sand, rocks and in the water. The water was perfect and she loved it. Kurt volunteered to take her in the water and get wet with her if necessary.
It is difficult to see in the picture but she is smiling because she is having fun in the water with Kurt. She was attempting to pick up a boy on the beach but he showed no interest so she had to move on. Silly boys!
Oh my goodness, look at the size of that cookie Kurt and Jodi brought for Erika! The expression on her face when I gave it to her was too cute. She really didn't eat any of it but did suck on a tiny bit.
We had a very nice time and were glad to see Kurt and Jodi. Erika is so sleepy from all the activity. Good Night!
