Grrrr...to the receptionists

At one year old the doctor switched Erika's multi vitamin to with iron. Since I have been giving her the vitamins with iron she has been struggling to go potty (#2). She struggles and works at it the entire day till finally at night she holds onto me with all her strength and screams in pain. I know that it is the iron causing the problem. So today I called the doctor. The receptionist wouldn't allow me to speak with the doctor and wanted to know what my question was. So I explained the whole situation to her. She tells me that the vitamins have always had the iron. I was shocked to hear this from her because I was so sure that the prescription changed when she turned one.
So I kept thinking about the whole thing and decided to call CVS where I have been getting the vitamins filled all along. I had them look up her history and guess what??? I was right, the iron only started about a month ago! And that receptionist told me that they always have iron. GRRRRR!! Meanwhile, she also tried indicating to me that it is normal what Erika is doing everyday with the struggling. In her words she said "it's just the way she is." Can you believe that? So after venting to Peter, he called to speak with the doctor, who was on vacation. So then I called the receptionist again and she had already changed her whole attitude....but no apology. She took down all the info and spoke to the other doctor who was on today. I finally get a call back when I wasn't home and she left a message. The message said NOTHING about the vitamins and only how to treat the constipation. I am not happy! I refuse to give her the vitamins with the iron and will wait till my doctor comes back on Tuesday and speak with him. I am very close to finding a new pediatrician. This is not the first problem with the receptionist and Michelle has had even more problems than me there.Yup...what would the day be without our buddies Michelle and Isabelle. Again, the girls sat together and basically did this pose themselves. We helped a little by saying "cheese" but really they did most of the work. Isabelle was insistent that Erika come sit next to her. It was very cute.A few small disagreements over who gets to drive! It seems that always whatever one of them is doing, then the other one wants to do it to even if they had no interest in that particular toy before!
JUICE?? And then we went to the park...but that will be a separate post!

My pedi never told me to give vitamins at all. I know you have been giving them for some time. Yes, iron will do that everytime. If you are not happy with a dr. you should always switch. Not worth the hassle and YOU having to play dr.
