Before I write about today, I need to do a pacifier update from yesterday. Last night Erika woke up 1 hour after putting her down for the night. She was so sad and crying that she was having trouble catching her breath. It was breaking my heart. So...yup...you guessed it, I gave in and handed over the pacifier. She stayed up for about three hours and was so full of energy. It was so crazy! She was crawling all over the place and being so silly with Mommy and Daddy. Hmmm...I will try the pacifier removal again very soon.
And now onto Erika's day. We had Erika's Godmother Debbie and her family over today. Bill (Debbie's husband), James (Debbie's son) and Ryan (Debbie's son) all came out to visit with Erika. We had a nice time. First Erika opened some belated birthday gifts. One was the see and say toy and the other was one of those dolls with all the buttons, zippers and snaps for the baby to practice on. Both toys are so cute and Erika will have fun with them. Thank you to Debbie and her family. I can't believe that Erika is still celebrating her first birthday. Just the other day she received a book from my Aunt Donna and a savings bond from Peters cousin! Erika is such a lucky girl.
Of course we did the usual walk down to the beach. Erika had a lot of fun with Debbie because Debbie let Erika walk while she held her hand. I am always too lazy for that! Erika had fun walking on all the rocks. She also had fun sitting on the big rock. That is in the pictures below. In the picture above from left to right - Ryan, Debbie, Erika and Bill. Look at how excited Erika is!
That's my big girl sitting on the rock and she was so excited! I am amazed at how tall Erika is already! But then again I don't know why I would expect anything different, Peter and I are both tall.

I am glad she had fun with Debbie and her family. She is getting so big! And you are right, she is a very lucky girl but mostly because you are her mommy!
