Today started out a bit hectic. We had to rush Peter's cat to the vet because it was having a lot of difficulty walking and we thought this was it. But thankfully she is okay and it is really just old age. Peter had left with Burt to the vet (the cat) first and then wonder woman Michelle came swooping in as she always seems to do and watched Erika while she napped so that I could be with Peter. We thought Burt was being put to sleep and I wanted to be there for him.
That means that I was forced to get in the car and drive. I was nervous and extra vigilant but did fine. The rest of the day was regular playing, eating and napping. Peter had a 4:00 appointment so when Erika woke up from her afternoon nap, we went for a walk to the beach. We stayed from about 5:30 - 7:30. It was so nice sitting there with her. We were testing out the toys that Kim brought over yesterday and they work great!
Erika loves "singing" the ABC's with me and she is still picking up on parts of Laurie Berkner's songs and repeating them. She LOVES ice pops like you wouldn't believe and can even say "ice-pop." When Daddy is around Mommy can't hold her! She totally adores her Daddy. It's really cute but I say everything about Erika is really cute! She is walking more and more and doing great. Still not a pro but getting closer every day.
