Prescription #1 -- Magna Doodle

So - if you look below Erika's tush in this picture you will see one of the three toys that the doctor suggested. He said that it is a good skill to get her hand in the motion of making lines or any thing that resembles a circle. As you can see, she likes to sit on it best. I keep telling her it is not for sitting and that it is for drawing but she still sits on it! It is cute seeing her sit on it but I don't know how much skill practicing she is getting!

There she is working really hard to please me and make some lines! This will be a cute picture for her when she graduates college!! New toy #2 and #3 are not exactly getting a lot of attention but I will reveal toy #2 tomorrow.

I love this picture because it is her profile and it is a different view than the usual picture. It is almost time to retire her Valentines day pj's. I think that set of pj's wins the award for the longest amount of time worn. Usually she out grows her clothing in about a month or two.
So many times I find her just hanging out on her couch now! I think it is because the other day when she felt really sick, Peter kept sitting with her and trying to convince her to lay down on her little couch. Today she seems to be feeling better although she is still coughing and has a runny nose. Thankfully she wasn't whining all day!

I still miss my students and teaching but I have to say that I am LOVING being home with my baby too. Crazy but I am already thinking about how difficult it will be to leave her again in September.

Last night was the first time in so long that Erika completely slept through the night. I put her to bed an hour and a half later than usual and I am wondering if that is what did it. So I am experimenting tonight and hoping for the best.We spent some time outside today in the play yard and it was super nice. I didn't take enough pictures in the play yard but I am sure I will catch up. And now for a video of Erika...
