Do You Like My New Hair???

So today I got creative with Erika's hair. She managed to keep it in all day too which was pretty impressive. Erika gave me her wake up call at 4:30 but basically she just wanted a bottle and then back to night night till almost 9:00 which was so nice for me. I actually felt like I slept for a change. I am getting better and better everyday...unfortunately not 100% yet. Erika's health is confusing to me because she had a fever today but she doesn't seem sick. She is acting pretty normal. Maybe the teeth. I haven't put my finger around in her mouth for awhile to see if anything is cooking in there.
I don't know if I have mentioned it but Erika loves the show Blues Clues! That is what she is so interested in, in the picture above. Lately she has been fighting her morning nap which is usually the one she welcomes. It used to be like clockwork at 9:00am I would lay her down and she would go right to sleep. Not any more! And at night it is even worse, she cries and cries. Finally I give in and hold her till she falls asleep. I know....bad habit, she is playing me and all that stuff but I love her and want her to feel secure.

She thinks she is so cool pushing that cart with one hand!! Today Erika wore her Chicago shirt from Miss. Michelle because we were scheduled to watch Isabelle. Michelle had a dentist appointment. I warned her that she is entering the "skull and cross bones infirmary" at her own risk! They arrived at about 2:00.When Michelle came back from the dentist she was over flowing with gifts for both Erika and I. Grrrrr...NO GIFTS Miss. Michelle!! BUT we do love them. Erika discovered that she loves cards while playing in Michelle's car a few times. So Michelle was sweet enough to get Erika her own stack of cards. And some sidewalk chalk. fun, fun and more fun! For me some huge sunflowers which are my favorite. Oh and I must not forget the 5 pounds of fresh peaches! Thank you Michelle!!!

There she is inspecting all her new cards. She just loves them. I don't know what it is about cards but it seems to work for her! The girls played so nice today. Michelle and I hadn't seen each other in almost a week and were having extreme withdrawls so we caught up. I even took "the bag" out for a viewing! LOL"WOW look at all these cards, all for me. Miss. Michelle is the best!"

Isabelle had to strike up a conversation with the bunny while Erika caught up on some sleep. Isabelle needs her own chair/couch because she just loves the one Erika has.

Boo hoo and then they went home. I cooked a really yummy London Broil for Daddy and Erika had some too. After dinner Erika and I walked down to the beach. That was the first walk I had been on in a week or more and it felt nice to be out. However I could feel that I had already lost my strength for the hills! Erika and I stood in the water and got our feet wet. She loved it and next time I will put her in her suit to be more prepared. And well...that is the story today!
