First of all, this is a glimpse of what I see on the way to work in the morning. My sleepy little one trying to keep up with Mommy's busy schedule, but she just can't do it. Now that Erika is facing the front on her car seat, I get to see her adorable face even more than before! A special treat for me before I go to work. Who could ever go to work depressed with having a face like that in your back seat?
Erika looks so long in her car seat now that she is facing front. It is such an adjustment having her looking at me while I drive. No more snacking unless I have something I can share with her! I also feel like I should talk to her more, now that she is facing me! I love having the car seat forward facing!
Today after work, Erika and I met up with Grandma (my mother) to celebrate my mothers birthday (a month and a half late) and Erika's birthday. We went to eat at The Cheesecake Factory and it was so yummy as always. Also as always, Erika was very well behaved. She ordered the bow tie pasta and had bread and bananas as an appetizer!
Next we opened some of the gifts that Grandma brought for Erika's birthday. I wrote only some because there were so many and she still has a bunch to open tomorrow. Erika seems to understand the process of ripping the paper off the box. Erika got some cute toys, a mini couch and a beach chair! I am looking forward to unwrapping more tomorrow.
Then we walked around the mall looking for the "perfect" bathing suit for Erika. We did not find the "perfect" one that I am looking for.In the mean time, we found some cute rides for Erika to play on. In the picture above she is in a school bus with Arthur. This one was Erika's favorite of all the ones she tried. I put quarters in it but it didn't even move!
This ride was an ice cream truck (I think) and she liked it as well. This one moved a lot more that the Arthur school bus and she did great with holding on. It was so cute to watch her face on both rides. We had a great time and are looking forward to opening the remaining goodies tomorrow. Erika was WIPED out when we came home. Thank you Grandma, for a nice night.
