Mommy Loves Erika

I love Mother's Day! What an incredible feeling to actually BE a mother on such a special day. It is better than my birthday! I have really, really, really enjoyed my Mothers Day weekend! This morning started out with some yummy bagels from the deli. Actually let me back track...the morning started at 2:00am when Erika decided it was time to get up. Those teeth are really causing her a problem. So she came in bed and cuddled with Mommy. She slept, but I didn't! Then at 6:30 we all got up and had some play time in the living room. There she is sporting her new pj's from Kim and they look adorable on her! I had to put a long sleeve onesie underneath because it is still too chilly at night for short sleeves. Erika was having fun diving into all her stuffed animals that Daddy kept setting up for her. Then we had the yummy bagels (Damiane' they were worth the wait...they came with roses).

After Erika's bath and a long nap we went visiting. Follow this - Peter's father's wife's daughters house! OR Erika's grandmothers daughters house. There were five other kids there for Erika to play with. Triplets (1 and a half years old), a 3 year old and a five year old.

Here is Erika with James...her first boyfriend! They even kissed on the lips...I am not joking! Erika went out of her way to actually put her arms out and pull him in. They kissed on the lips - more than one time. IT WAS CRAZY!
Brooke, Lauren and Erika are in the pool New York style for May. Still way too chilly, but they can have wishful thinking right? Lauren was so cute because she kept asking me "Can Erika come in the pool with me?"

Grandpa and Erika having fun on the slide. Erika liked this slide because she can slide down much easier than the ones at the park.

Erika was giggling every time that she would get to the end of the slide.

Taking a wagon ride with Brooke and Ronnie watches.

***And now my most special part of the day*** I was getting Erika's bottle ready this morning and making myself a cup of coffee. I was holding Erika on my hip. Both of us still in our pj's. Erika looked at me, right at my face and said in her cute little Erika voice "Mom." My heart melted and turned to mush!
