Boy oh boy did Erika...and Mommy and daddy have a rough day today. Erika slept the night after all the excitement, but was up this morning by 5:00. We put her back down for a nap around 6:00, only for her to be up again a half our later. This type of routine went on all day and she got so so so tired. Her eyes were all red and getting puffy. I felt sad for her and so did Daddy. She even cried in her new swing. I am hoping that she is so tired she will sleep the night. I am sure something must be bothering her but it is always guess work to figure out what it is.
In between the lack of napping, I took her out to the store to pick up a few things. She was definitely not too thrilled with that plan. She basically whined the entire time and then fell asleep in the car on the way home...only to wake up again. Good thing I am patient! Something new that she is doing when she watches her Laurie Berkner DVD she claps at the end of each song, she claps when they are clapping on the video, and she laughs at the same spot in the "We Are the Dinosaurs" song. Very sweet! 
Here is one of my famous..."do it myself" photos of Erika and I. I love the expression on her face. I cannot express how much inner joy this baby gives me! I am so so so grateful that God chose me to have her! This picture was still early enough in the day that her eyes aren't all red and puffy from lack of sleep. 
It was nice to be able to put Erika in clothing that shows her little legs and arms. I am so used to having her all covered up. The outfit that she wore today reminds me of how I dressed her last year when she was just born. And on the same topic of the outfit, I actually got this outfit last year. Thankfully, I had tons of clothing when she was born and so I exchanged a few things for the exact same one just larger size and now I am so happy that I did that.
Here is a very cute video of Erika hugging her bunny from her Grandma. I never even taught her to hug the bunny and one day she just started doing it!
