Last night I set the alarm so that we would all get up in time for church. Most mornings Erika wakes up between 8:00 and 8:30 which would not be enough time to get to church at 9:15. So we all got up, got ready and off to church we went. When Erika saw Miss. Kathy she went running to her and yelled "Miss.
Kathy...Miss. Kathy!" The smile on Miss.
Kathy's face was great. She told me later that Erika made her entire week. Miss. Kathy is such a wonderful person. So caring and full of good.

After church we braved the sweltering heat and went to the Polish Festival. It was really hot. I felt like I was cooking in a frying pan. I think my heat meter is very sensitive due to being pregnant. I don't remember being so disturbed by the heat! Anyway, we walked around and checked out all the booths. Had a bit of the Polish food, and listened to the music which of course was Erika's favorite. No doubt, this girl is into music and dancing. But for all i know - all kids are into music and dancing! I don't know!

So what's the story with the rubber chicken?? Well when we were in Virginia at Busch gardens, we saw that 4D Sesame Street movie. Most of the movie they have you in
suspense that
Telly's pet chicken is going to fly at you from his Tuba. That part of the movie had Erika freaked pretty bad. So we always tease her now and say "there's a chicken coming at you" and she laughs. So we bought her a chicken and she loves it. You should have seen the double takes people were taking when they saw her in the stroller with that chicken. or even better was when she was walking with Daddy and I was pushing the stroller with the chicken strapped in!

It was nice to be out and fun for Erika but oh so hot! When we came home, everyone took a nap and then we did the rest of our day. You know, food shopping, playing trains, dinner and all the regular stuff. Tomorrow Erika gets to see Grandma and Grandpa. If I am in the "right mood" we are going in their pool.
