Erika's New Friend...Nicky

It was another really hot one today...REALLY HOT! Lately, we spend our mornings potty training which is going well. I don't really want to write about the details out of respect for Erika but I will say she is doing a nice job at trying to adjust to the change over.
Right before we left the house to go meet Erika's new friend Nicky and my friend Kristina at the park, I told her I wanted to take a picture of her. So she quickly climbed up on that bench and did a new pose! Someone please tell me where she is getting this stuff from. Does she have a calling that I am supposed to be paying attention to? What 2 year old puts themselves in these poses?
When we got to the park it was completely deserted! WHY? Because on my car thermometer it said it was 105 degrees out! It was unbearably hot. But Kristina and I have been attempting plans forever and wanted to just follow through and get the kids together. So we braved the heat for about 2 hours till I finally caved in and said I couldn't handle it any more.
Look at that little monkey swinging on the bar. She is so brave at the playground that it almost worries me. She climbs to the top of almost anything. Only thing she won't do is go down a big slide.
We spent some time at the park before Kristina and her son Nicky arrived but then it was getting so hot that Erika and I went in the car and waited with the air conditioner on. Erika loved sitting in the front seat with me with the cool air blowing in her face.
She kept saying "Mommy, that's the air conditioner?" I was pretty impressed that she could pronounce such a large word.
Anyway, they came, they met, they played, they melted...and so on. Look at Erika's face in the picture above...it's hysterical. They were so cute together. Laughing and chasing each other around. They wouldn't interact right in front of us but then they would go off on their own and play. It was very cute even though I was melting!
