Grandma & Grandpa!

Excitement in the air for Grandma and Grandpa! Peter took my car to work this morning so I didn't think we were going to go in Grandma and Grandpa's pool. Instead I thought they were coming here. But it turned out great because Peter came home early and we went there any way. I had Erika hyped up all morning. I was straightening up the house and kept telling Erika we were cleaning for Grandma and Grandpa to come over and she kept going to the window to see if they were here yet! Then I eventually tried the nap and she was upset because she thought she would miss seeing them but i assured her that she wouldn't.
Again she decided to set herself up in a posed position. I can't imagine where she learned that from Maybe there was something on t.v., I just don't know but it makes me laugh. Look at her with her feet crossed and hand together. She is too much!
The picture above is just a small indication of how happy she was to be going to Grandma & Grandpa's house. That was take right before the nap.
There she is the bathing beauty all ready to go in the pool. She is extra shiny because she was all greased up with sunblock! She is so much better at having sunblock put on than I was. I remember crying and totally hating it. She is a great sport at getting it all slathered on.
When we arrived at the pool first Erika went running to Grandpa...then Grandma and then wanted to get in the pool with Grandpa right away. I was a bit surprised because I never know what to expect out her when it comes to the pool. However, I think she is loving it more and more every time.
She kept saying "I do it myself." She wanted to swim and stand up by herself which was not happening. Actually Erika was used to the pool in Virginia that had a gradual increase in depth and she could stand up in the beginning.

I think she is going to be a real water lover. I know I was. After the pool we went back to Grandma and Grandpa's house. They had an anniversary dinner and gift for us. Our 3 year anniversary was on the 12th but we celebrated with them today. Although it is only 3 years of marriage, we have been together for 12 1/2 years! We had a really nice time over there.

And the picture below is of a very happy Grand-daughter with a new rainbow pony from Grandma! She loves it and it has been added to the zoo in her crib! YIKES!
