Sunday...

This morning after I had Erika all ready for church, I asked her if I could take a picture of her to show Grandma (who bought the dress) that she was wearing it. Well Erika tilted her head down, started to cry and said "noooooo." It was such an adorable yet sad moment. I had to share the picture because you can almost see her pouting. She looked great in her denim dress from Grandma and perfect for Palm Sunday at church.Peter was able to capture that one for me! "Erika in action." Any way then we headed toward the next adventure. Today was the day of the Easter pageant and Erika was in it...or should I say scheduled to be in it! I don't believe in forcing her to do anything like that and so I pretty much figured she was not going to do it. I remember very clearly that she did not care for the Christmas pageant at church. So we got to church and there was much excitement going on...which Erika wanted no part of! Miss. Kathy offered her the flower headpiece...she said "no." And then hugged me tight. I ended up taking her into church with me and she was EXCELLENT. I was so proud of her behavior. Of course I must admit that today was very entertaining with the Easter pageant and we were also in the front row (thanks to Peter). When all the little kids came in swinging their palm branches, Miss. Kathy came over to Erika and took her up front...Erika rolled her lip over and cried. She came right back to me...and held me tight...again. That's okay Erika when you are ready, you will be great in the Easter pageant.
It was very sweet in church when everyone was singing because Erika was singing too. She loves to sing. The Easter pageant was amazing and the kids sang the song "Were You There" which always always ALWAYS brings tears to my eyes. Easter is my favorite, most meaningful yet very emotional holiday. More to come from today...
