After a very nice nap and some lunch, we took a family trip to that one park that I really like. It is still a little windy and chilly out but we just can't keep waiting for warmer weather any more...we might go crazy! The park was packed and we almost didn't get a parking spot. I was glad that we found one because I knew Erika would get very upset if I drove out of that parking lot. She reminds me of myself with the parks because I remember LOVING the playground. When we were camping that was all I used to care about was if there was a playground.

This was the second time that I have brought Erika to this park so she was very comfortable with the whole scene. She has fully entered the stage of "I'll do it, I'll do it!" She wants to dress herself, feed herself, brush her own teeth, put on my make up, and so many more. It is very cute but also at times can be a true test of mine and Peter's patience. Oh yeah and the shoes...she can do that too!

There is a huge soccer
field at this park and a nice hill to climb up on and then sit and watch. So that's what we did. I would love for Erika to be interested in soccer one day...but again I won't force her. So far she does not seem like the frilly
ballet type...but you never know. Honestly she surprises me every day.

After the soccer game, Erika and daddy did some kite flying. Again she insisted that she can do it! I have to get her little voice on video of her saying that. It was really nice watching both of them fly the kite. Personally I have zero interest in kites but it was fun to watch the two of them do it. At the playground sometimes it gets difficult because she always wants to try what some of the older kids are doing but then a line forms behind her as she struggles to do whatever it may be!

After we were done with the kite flying we passed it on to another Daddy and daughter. That's how we got the kite, some one passed it on to us! I
thought it was nice that everyone was
getting a chance with the kite. And the man who first gave it to us said he bought it for .50 at the dollar store! And look at how much usage it got.

Erika "doing it" and daddy trying to allow her to "do it!" Look at his hands...ready to take over at any moment! She was very proud to fly that kite. Check out the pictures below. There are a few, I couldn't decide which ones to eliminate so you get to see them all!

This one is trick photography because Peter was actually helping her but I took the picture to make it look like she is doing it solo!

I love how she is looking up at the kite!
At this point, daddy took over and Erika was the spectator...I was the photographer

And believe it or not...there is still a little more to come from Sunday.
