Tonight Erika and I met up with my mother to celebrate her birthday and Easter. Erika loves seeing Grandma! And I do too! I was getting a little worried that Erika was tired already because she was yawning a lot on the way there but she managed to stay up till 9:30 with us!
First we went to Toys R Us to give the Easter Bunny some help for his trip to our house on Saturday night. My mother quickly saw how much Erika has changed in the store from the last time that she saw her. She points everything out but then the best part is she is always saying "I want to hold that." She says that any time I stop to look at something! Anyway, we accomplished what we needed to and then we were off to eat.
We had our dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. Yummy! I Brought Erika some soup from home and she managed to finish all that and help me with my salad. It sounds like it is getting old but Erika really behaved great! We must have waited for about 20 minutes just to get a table and then we stayed there about 2 hours probably and she didn't complain at all! She was so so SO well behaved. At least this time I have a witness to back me up and it isn't just her Mommy being biased!
After that we exchanged some Easter goodies and Grandma's birthday gift. Grandma gave Erika so many nice things but her favorite was a Barney stuffed animal. She was very happy to unwrap that. I wish I had been videoing because she smiled, said "Baaarneeey" and then instantly gave him a hug. It was so sweet. Erika also got a new step stool, an outfit, an Easter Mr. Potato Head, stickers, a coloring book, a beautiful white sweater and probably more that I am forgetting right now. After the gift extravaganza we walked around the mall and finally called it a night at 9:30. It was a very nice time!

She is one lucky girl to get all that mommy and grandma time (and those gifts)! I am glad you had a nice time. I didn't realize it was your mom's bday! Happy belated to her! Did you get a new stroller?
