Still Saturday...

So after about an hour, Erika and I left the park and headed home for dinner. Or as Erika would say "eat, eat, eat." Her boots were so muddy that I had to take them off before I brought her into the car. I already tossed them in the machine too. I would have loved to stay longer at the park but thought it was getting a bit too chilly. Erika's health has been so much better lately and I don't want to do anything that could cause her to go backwards in that department. Personally I think the change in child care did it! :-) That's the happy Mommy face! When we came home, I fed Erika dinner right away. We were having salad and so I made Erika one of her favorite soups -Italian Wedding. She ate so much for such a small girl. Any way, after that she was so involved in her little people. I was able to prepare the salad's, sweep, clean the kitchen & dining room, do laundry and a few other chores. I couldn't believe how long she spent setting those little people up. I had bought her the plane for them about two weeks ago and that is a favorite but not as much as the bus from my mother. It's a weird feeling when she plays alone. On one hand I am grateful that I can get things done and that she is so independent that she can do that. However on the other hand I feel guilty because I am not in there with her. But in the end I know it is healthy for children to be able to play independently. And lets face it, does she look miserable??? Not really. She also spent a great deal of time setting up and resetting up her doll cradle. Erika didn't seem to have difficulty with going to bed with all the activity she had today. Peter and I watched another great movie called "Facing the Giants." As soon as Erika went night night, we popped in the movie and it was another great one. Tomorrow off to church and Miss. Kathy for Erika.
