A Fun Surprise To Come Home To

This afternoon when Erika and I came home there was a box waiting on the stoop for her. I was excited because I remembered what i had ordered for her a few weeks ago. Erika was excited because she loves getting surprises! Tell me, who doesn't??

When she saw that it was the bead maze toy inside she did her regular "OH LOOK!" I think this may have been one of the most excited times I saw her over a toy. She was getting all hyper just seeing it and wanting me to get it out of the box QUICKLY!!
It is true that this was money spent that wasn't necessary but do you see the smile and happiness on that little girl's face! She sat there (by the front door) for at least 20 - 25 minutes and played. Eventually i was able to get her to move into the living room. I felt excited for Erika because I knew this was something that she really wanted.For a sad story - we went to CVS tonight and Erika was all excited because she picked out a Thomas The Train balloon. Well the man was really struggling to fill it up and then struggling to get a good not on it. Well Erika left CVS all smiles because of her choo choo balloon. She was really happy.When we went outside the wind was kicking and it was FREEZING. the knot came out of the balloon just as I was putting Erika in the car...and flew away. Erika was BEYOND DEVASTATED! Tomorrow Peter will take her for a new balloon.
