It's All Fun And Games Till...

Well it is all fun and games till I bring Erika home past her bed time with no nap during the day! Erika had a fun filled day today with Brooke and so she didn't get to nap during the day. She did fall asleep on the way home from work. But that is only about 45 minutes compared to her usual hour and a half to two hour nap. As soon as I pulled up in the driveway she woke up with no interest in going back to sleep.

We had plans anyway to meet up with Belle and Michelle so it was a good thing that she woke up. Michelle and I wanted to try out this new bagel and coffee place that just opened up near her house. Well when we got there it was closed. So we went to another coffee house which after unloading the kids, we discovered they had moved to a new location. So we tried a local cafe - not open yet! Then we drove to the new location for the coffee house...didn't look too promising.

Finally ended up at Panera.

By the time we made it to Panera we had wasted an hour and the girls were getting restless. They recovered after some grill cheese sandwiches and some chocolate chip cookies. They had such a fun time at Panera (we sat in the corner by the comfy chairs) that we stayed about two hours! Michelle and I were able to talk - somewhat and we just kinda relaxed. Before we knew it, it was 7:00 ....YIKES Erika's bedtime!
I still had to give Erika her nightly bath, pj's, brush teeth and set up her humidifier! And Peter worked late tonight so I had to go solo. She was miserable! I felt guilty for keeping her out and not noticing the time. It was a quick bath and I dried her hair on high instead of low. I have concluded that it was NOT worth keeping her out with how miserable she was when I got her home. She was SO SO TIRED! Poor girl. I promise Erika I won't party with you tomorrow night!
