Let's see, we went to church as usual. Peter and I have been taking notice of Erika's behavior around other children. Yesterday at the deli he had noticed Erika getting insecure when another little girl walked in that was older than her. He said that Erika suddenly was requesting extra hugs and attention. Today while I was in the classroom/nursery with Erika waiting for Miss. Kathy, I also took notice of some insecurities. This one little girl came in the room very loud and full of energy. Erika looked instantly shy and then came over to me and wanted to show me her shoes (which were new). It was almost like she needed that reassurance from me. In one respect I am glad that she is so polite but on the other, I just hope she knows when to stand up for herself too. I am sure it will all come in time.

I wasn't sure how Erika would handle the time change when we came home from church. Usually she takes a nap right after church because that is her nap time. Well, she didn't really have a problem and went right down. First she was in there chatting with herself for about 5 minutes and next thing we knew - she was out!

Today Erika and I put the finishing touches on the St. Patrick's Day craft that we have been working on for over a week. Now it is my job to get them in an envelope and mail them out to the grandparents! I can't count on Erika for that one. I love the picture above because she was really getting into putting the stickers on the shamrock!Daddy and Erika also went out again for a little bit today. I didn't learn my lesson from yesterday on using some time for myself. instead, I spent my entire break cleaning our bedroom! Oh well. Eventually I may catch on to what taking a break really means!
