Summer Sunday

Today was mostly a play day for Erika and in between playing, Mommy and Daddy attempted to get things done.Both of us are always so tired and all we do all day is complain to each other how tired we are! Erika even got up nice and late today - 7:15! I don't remember her waking up that late in a really long time.

This is what I should be doing right now!! Erika always looks so comfy in her crib and it makes me more sleepy than I already am. She took very short naps today so I am hoping that she will sleep through.


Bob is beyond tolerant of Erika poking at him! He has really been forced to make a life style adjustment! It must be really difficult on pets that were #1 in their owners lives and then a child comes into the picture.

"Helping" Daddy on the computer! Erika and I went to Kohl's today and CVS. She was tired when we went and surprisingly very well behaved. I am so excited because with the birthday money that Aunt Peggie and Uncle Joe gave Erika, I bought a play yard for Erika. I will set it up in our yard and then she can have freedom within boundaries. here is a picture of the one that I ordered.

I ordered an extension also to make it a little larger just in case. She plays in one of these at Maureen's and she loves it. Speaking of Maureen, tomorrow will be Erika's last day with Maureen since Michelle is watching Erika Tuesday through Friday. I can't believe the summer vacation is almost here! I am excited but still sad about missing my students too!

Erika's latest trick is to ride her quad backwards! Not very safe. She looks like she is saying "where did the handle bars go??"

I like this picture because my face is SO HAPPY! Erika is like a piece of my puzzle that was always missing and is now in place.
