This is how I found Erika this morning when I went in to wake her to leave for Maureen's. I love when babies (especially mine) sleep like this! So so so CUTE! Last night she woke up at 2:30 and when I went in her room to get her, she was just sitting there crying and saying "ahMamma...ahMamma...ahMamma." Even at 2:30 in the morning, that is heart melting! I asked Peter this morning if he heard it on the monitor and he did. That incident goes down in my "favorites list."
When Erika and I came home from work today we played for a little bit and then I was so sleepy that I knew I had to get out of the house to function for the rest of the evening. I needed a few things at Target for Erika (of course) and so we did a Target run. I love target because they have EVERYTHING! But I behaved myself and only bought what we truly needed. Erika lasted awhile in the store but once she was done...she was really done! We bought some new straw sippy cups to replace the old slimy ones, a gift for a new Mommy at my job, a huge container of bubbles for the bubble mower and a pair of shorts for Erika.
The picture above is Erika's "I just got caught face." She always crawls to the only area in the living room that I haven't baby proofed. That will be my next task because I am tired of pulling her away from that area. Besides, since school is out in 9 days, Erika will be home full time and the house needs to be completely safe for her. As much as I am looking forward to my full time with Erika, I am going to miss my students. This has been a great group of kids and I will be sad to see them go. I will really miss them.
Can you see Erika's smile behind the hand that is shoving the food in? On the way home from Target, I was talking with Michelle on the phone. She mentioned she was going to a meeting and taking Isabelle with her. I offered to watch Isabelle and we had fun. I am going to make a separate post for that though. I can say that Erika seemed a bit jealous that she had to share her Mommy, but I think that is really good for her. Especially if we ever have a #2!But before I do the Isabelle and Erika posting - here are a few more pictures of just Erika today.
"Peek-A-Boo...I see you Baby Erika!"
When I ask Erika if she can "love her baby" this is what she does!
And here she is "loving" her chicken!
