She Did It!

Erika took her first step today! When I think about it it sends the same kind of feeling through me as when you hug or kiss someone really special. I know - share the big details of the event. Well, we were at Michelle's and at first Erika was holding onto the ottoman and then she let go and took a step. I had to confirm it with Michelle because I couldn't believe my eyes. I thought maybe I imagined it. She did the same thing several times after that too! And she even took two steps at one point. I have been waiting for her to do this and just hoping that I would get to witness it! Just too bad Daddy wasn't there as well.
Today the girls played dress up with Michelle! They look really cute and congrats to Michelle for getting both of them into those costumes without a crying fest! Michelle has a ton of energy to do all these fun things with the girls. I don't know how she does it because i am always so tired!

So, tomorrow is the last day of school and as I have mentioned I am excited but also apprehensive. I miss my students already and I know some of them are missing me. they have been making me the sweetest cards and pictures. I have been preparing at home for my summer with Erika. All her outside toys are organized, clean and stored in plastic containers - all ready to go. I still need Peter to put the play yard together. The living room is all baby proof (I think). Summer here we come.

Erika is completely entertained with this car! She plays with it all day. In and out in and out! I have to buy her a new one or one from Craigs list. Mary, Erika's grandmother had sent Erika the money for her birthday to buy her a car like this and so i might just go for a new one. Michelle says it is all day entertainment!

LUNCH??? Thank you Michelle!

LOVE DRESSING UP!!! I am sorry I am posting all my responses in one comment section. I am sad that you are sad about the last day of school and happy that you have 2 whole months of summer with Erika! YUCK that MMR shot sounds crazy. I am hoping we can get ours seperated. WTG for Erika taking a step! Anyday now she will be running around. I love seeing you and Erika so happy especially with Michelle, however it makes me sad in the same breath because I wish that was you and me and the twins! Love and miss you bunches. Give Erika big hugs from us!
