Happy First Day Of Summer!

To celebrate the first day of summer, Erika and I spent the entire day outside in the backyard. We played with her new water table that she got from her Grandma and Grandpa for her birthday, she played "in" the pool, on the swing set and with all of her outside toys. I still have not brought her quad outside because I want to get a storage container for it.

Erika has fun with the water table because it is something she can stand at by herself and splash around without getting soaked. Funny, I used to think water tables were a weird concept - prior to have a child of my own! THANK YOU Grandma and Grandpa for this GREAT gift...I love it!!

Daddy had to spend a lot of time inside today because of an "ANT INVASION!" Everything in the dining room and kitchen had to be removed, washed and the floor had to be sprayed and washed. What a disaster but it seems to be a part of summer. Unfortunately Erika is a contributor to the problem with dropping things and dripping food from her high chair. No more ice pops in the house!

"Okay Mommy, I can eat my ice pop out here if you want me to. It is still just as yummy!"

Erika on her lounge chair that she had got for her birthday from her Grandma. This is the first time she was able to use it outside. Oh and today I experienced my first EXPLODED diaper! I went to change Erika out of her wet suit and I saw all this white stuff in there and at first I thought Peter put something in her suit like ice!!! But it was that mushy gel substance that the inside of the diaper turns into when it is so wet!

Here is a short video of Erika playing outside... it is really short because my battery died as I was recording.

And I still have more to share...there will be a part 2 to this post...ASAP

Wow.....I wonder what the story was with her toe. Maybe like you said when you put her sneaker on perhaps her toe was a bit bent. Just make sure next time to be certain they are straight when you put the sneakers on. I wouldn't blow them away. Just a freaky thing! Looks like today will be a wash out as far as the weather goes. Erika is growing so quickly it's scary. She sure does look like one happy baby. Hear ya!
