Eight More Days Of Teaching Left!

Eight more days of work and then I will be snuggling up with Erika every day for two whole months! Today on the way home from work, I had to make a stop at CVS for a stack of cards. When I was paying for all the cards, the cashier was impressed that Erika allowed me to pick out so many cards! Of course it did help that the shopping cart was parked right beneath a bunch of Mylar balloons! After the CVS trip we came home and straightened up Mommy and Daddy's bedroom. I had so much laundry to fold and put away (and still do!). Erika was having fun pushing the baby swing that I still have set up and playing with the remote that is in her hand in the picture above. After awhile, she was loosing her patience with me walking back and forth across the room and never picking her up. So we moved onto her room and she had some more fun in there.

Uh oh...somebody is getting into Mommy's make up! She is so funny though because as soon as I catch her touching something she shouldn't, she hands it right to me.

Back down to the living room for some dinner, which she cried the entire time. A nice warm bath. A bottle with cereal (yup, I still do that). And off to night night for my beautiful baby girl.

A quick funny story - Peter and I keep hearing Erika say what sounds to be the word "SH_T." And we both say how could she say that when neither one of us even curse at all. So then of course the next target would be Maureen since that is where Erika spends her days. Today Maureen was telling me a story how yesterday she kept telling one of the little boys to sit and Erika kept yelling at the bot "SIT, SIT, SIT." and so now I know that she is not cursing but just saying SIT!!!
I found smaller sized ice-pops and Erika absolutely loves them. I would imagine they feel good on her sore little gums as well
