Today Erika let me put braids in her hair...I was so excited! I remember when she was younger and wouldn't let me put anything in her hair and I would meet other mothers in the store with daughters that had clips in their hair. I would ask..."How do you get her to keep the clip in?" They would always tell me that when Erika gets a little older she will be fine with it and they were right! More and more now she lets me do her hair. I would have never believed that she would actually change but she sure did.

So lets see...what did we do today? Well, Erika wanted to make sure we keep to our weekly
schedule and got both Peter and I up at 5:50. I stayed up a little but then went back to bed and the two of them played till i got up again and made breakfast. Later on in the day Erika and I went to walk around the outlets. Usually i truly let her walk but this time I pushed her in the stroller. I was afraid that she would touch too much stuff is she were set loose and I am a little nervous about this whole swine flu situation.

There is something relaxing to me about just walking around the outlets with
Erika. I have no idea what it is but i really like doing that! I didn't buy too much considering we are not exactly
swimming in cash. But i did find a swimsuit for Erika. I have been looking and looking but was having trouble finding one that i like. I
actually found a Minnie Mouse one on sale at The Disney Store that looks very nice on her. maybe she can model for a summer preview picture!

Erika remembered that the Carter's outlet gives her stickers so of course we had to go in there too. I expected to see more deals/sales than I really did. One would have thought that The
Children's Place was giving the store away with the zoo that was in there! I went in and checked it out but didn't find anything too exciting.

After a yummy enchilada dinner, Erika and I went for a walk around the neighborhood. This time I let her walk on her own so that she could burn some energy and help her sleep later...I mean better! I just love my weekend with Erika and can't wait to have her everyday in the summer.

I love the braids. I feel like I haven't read your blog in forever. Loving that I was able to catch up and see how she was doing!
