Grandma & Grandpa

This morning Peter and I came up with every excuse in the book as to why we should skip church. Terrible! And we ended up not going. I always feel guilty when we don't go but on the other hand it is nice sometimes to not have to rush out the door. The picture above is Erika right after her nap. She takes Nemo and "Dude" (as Erika calls him) up to bed and then back downstairs almost every time.
When Erika woke up from her nap she was thrilled to see that Daddy had set the entire yard up for her! We finally set up the pool from last year that my mother had bought for her. Glad we waited because it would have been too big for her last year. We still have the yellow one fromDamiane' too which was already used earlier this week.
Erika and I still needed to go to the food store to pick up some snacks and cold cuts because Grandma and Grandpa were coming over! So after playing outside for a little bit, her and i headed out. There is this big inflatable duck that is out in front of a pool store right across from the food store. Every time Erika sees that duck she laughs. Today she even told me "I want to touch that duck." Oh and when we were at the traffic light the duck was on the right side of the car and she was waving and saying "Hi Duck." Such a silly girl. When we came home from the store, we opened the snacks, put on Erika's bathing suit and went in the backyard to wait for Grandma and Grandpa to arrive. At first Erika was a little hesitant with the water in the pool but I think that was because it was so cold. I stood in it and found it cold so she must have thought it was freezing! But in no time, her and Daddy were splashing each other and having a great time.

Oh and then Erika was pouring water on my legs. She was having a lot of fun doing that and as you can see from the pictures...I was cold! The picture is so funny that I just had to share it!

It was cold on my legs but not as cold as my face is making it seem to be! There is more to come on the day but I need to make it a part two!
