I made some yummy pancakes for breakfast and then headed out to run a few errands. I thought for sure in the 3 hours that I was gone that Erika would have taken a nap for Daddy. No such luck. When I came home after setting up the church for coffee hour, I walked in to Erika wide awake! So then I gave her a bath and then put her in for a late nap.
After her two hour nap, I took her out to buy a Mother's Day gift for Peter's mom. Of course it will be mailed late. I have no idea when I became the person that sends things late...but I see it happening way too often. As usual, Erika and I had a very nice time walking around the outlets. I still have not
figured out what it is that makes that such a nice time, but both of us really like it.
Erika was excited because I finally bought her the
Nemo she had been wanting. I wanted to wait till I got paid to buy it for her and so I did. She really REALLY loves it! Her crib is getting a bit crowded at this
point and I will need to remove some animals. Tonight she has Barney(he's a regular), 3 monkeys, a purple Teddy Bear and now
Nemo and the turtle from that movie! YIKES...is there any room left for her? I think when I go tuck her in for the night (which I always do before I go to sleep) I will take some of the crew out of there!
And...I almost forgot that
Erika was outside helping Daddy feed the lawn...
Today Erika's schedule was so off. But then again that really seems to happen each weekend! She woke up really early before 5:00 and it took a little effort from both of us to get her back to sleep. However, in Erika's defense she woke up because she was coughing so much. Last night I was unable to give her the Singulair medication which helps with the cough so I think that is why she was coughing so much this morning. Anyway, we were able to get her back to sleep till I think about 7:00.
