A Great Day With Grandma...continued

After the swings Erika was in the mode of really choosing her rides. We would walk her up to the ride, she would watch what was going to happen on the ride and then decide if she wants to go on or not. The next one she chose was the caterpillar. My mother said that she thinks Erika liked this one the best. But none of the rides truly made her laugh or smile. Maybe next time she would be more receptive. I think we should take her back for her birthday and maybe she will be more relaxed.
I have to say, she did seem the most relaxed on this one. Anyway, I was getting to the point where I had truly had enough and we slowly left. It was so loud there that I found it difficult to hold a conversation with my mother. I don't think Erika really wanted to leave. My mother and I kept laughing because it seemed like Erika had no use for us except to give the attendant the tickets so that she could get on the ride. We did make one more stop to let Erika ride the helicopters. I should have rode that with her because she didn't know how to get it to fly in the air. After leaving Adventure Land, we went for a great lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. We exchanged some Mothers day gifts and then walked around the mall. Erika did pretty well all day. She must have told my mother and I that she was "all done" about a 100 times but never really made it to the point of a tantrum.

After we left Grandma Erika kept saying "Where's Grandma Mommy?" It was so cute. Erika and i enjoy spending time with my mother so much and are looking forward to out "Erika's birthday" get together on the 29th!
