This past week the entire family has been battling a cold and still are. We figured we should take the morning off from church and just rest up. I hardly ever allow myself to sleep while Erika sleeps, but today I did and it really made a big difference in how I feel. I was making some soup and came in to visit with Daddy and Erika. He had this all set up with Erika on her comfy little couch! They like to watch Finding Nemo lately. She is always asking for it. Look how happy the two of them are. I just love it! 
I thought that I could make it the entire day without going out, especially because it was raining out. But I was wrong. I needed to run just a few small errands. Erika was thrilled to get out of the house. We went to the bank, gas station and CVS. I am always at CVS...it is almost my second home, other than work!
Her language has developed a lot lately. She is speaking in short sentences and is able to tell us if something hurts. At one point today she told me that her tummy hurt. I am amazed at how well she can suddenly communicate. Everyday with Erika is even better than the day before. I just still can't believe that she is mine! I love being Erika's Mommy more than anything!
While Erika and I were out we stopped for a snack and some coffee at McDonald's. Erika seems to have made a switch at McDonald's and it is a GREAT switch. She actually asks for the apples instead of the fries. I almost forgot to order the apples and then she kept saying "apples...apples." She eats the entire bag in just a few minutes.
The video below has a small story to it. There is this small tree stump that Erika and I drive past everyday that is very close to the hose. For the longest time when we go past it she would say 'oh no....what happened?" Eventually I started teasing her and saying that to her right before we would get to it. Well the video is a combination of both of us being silly.
