Let's see, Erika had about 3 or 4 days where she seemed like her cold was cleared up except for her constant dry cough. And guess what?? She is "running yellow" again...if you know what I mean! TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE. The doctor did tell me that this is all normal and just her body's way of building up her immune system. Even
Maureen says that the poor baby has been sick since September!
Potty training has come to a complete halt. In fact the potty has
been put away. It's so strange because she was very into it and was even obsessed with the
dvd my mother and I picked out for her about going potty. And then all of a sudden now she is crying before her bath which is when she used to practice sitting on it. So I put it away because I don't want her to feel pressured or to continue
crying when she has to take a bath. I will wait for her when she is ready again.
Last night and this morning she ate really well which made me happy. I am always concerned that she is not getting enough nutrients every day. It is difficult because it seems like toddlers are so fussy at this age. A couple of things I have discovered that Erika enjoys eating are: fresh ravioli (not the frozen ones), baked chicken nuggets (the
Perdue ones), sausage links, corn, and apple flavored cheerios. I would say those are her all time favorites currently. And then every night I give her a baby yogurt with "magic pooping powder" in it.
Maureen has been indicating a lot lately how quiet Erika is and that she can go the whole day without hardly even speaking. This is so so surprising to me because at home she is a little chatter box. She is always talking to Peter and I. I truly hope she isn't going to end up being a shy child. I was hoping for her to be outgoing...which I was under the impression she is.
Tonight Erika and I met up with Michelle and Belle for a small amount of shopping (Erika got an adorable dress that maybe she will wear to Sunday school on this Sunday) and then we went to
Applebee's. We had a very nice time and for me I know it felt great to be out. Between being sick and all, I feel like I haven't been to a place like that in awhile. Erika and Belle are very very cute together and only started loosing it towards the end of the night which was very understandable.
