That's Erika all ready and waiting to go spend the day with Grandma. My mother and I had considered going to see The Wizard of Oz at the same theater Blues Clues was playing. However when I found out it was an hour and a half to two hours long I decided it was not going to be realistic to expect Erika to sit through that! Although we were disappointed, we still had a great day!

Erika grabbing her camera really quick so that she can take many pics of her Grandma. I know D
amiane' loves Erika in her bundled up coat but these days it is beyond necessary. It has been 2 degrees in certain areas over here. Most days it is about 18 and so Erika needs to
stay all warm and toasty! She still has her constant cough and runny nose too. I guess it will be like this till spring??!! On a good note the coughing is not keeping her up at night any more and she is sleeping much better.

Oh my goodness...look at that squishy face! She is so funny with some of the faces she makes now. This was taken right before we left. Erika kept saying "ready? ready?" and then she would go to the door. I think she was getting frustrated that I was wasting time taking pics of her! We were running a bit late too. The plans were to meet up at Babies R Us at 11:30. One big thing that has changed for me since I have Erika in my life is that I am always late now. I used to be an early or definitely on time type of person but having Erika has sure changed that! It's not even anything she is doing wrong that makes me late. I think it is just getting another person ready is time consuming!

Look at the attitude in this picture! She looks like "give me a break already with that camera Mom!" Also check out the winter wonderland in the background. I thought for sure Erika was going to fall asleep on the way to meet up with
Grandma, but she didn't. My mother gave her this set of
children's bible song
Cd's for Christmas and we listened to one of those
Cd's the whole way. Erika just loves them. It cracks me up to see her in the backseat rocking back and forth to the music. A small story on the red monkey in the picture. I stopped at the bookstore on Friday on the way home and Erika and I were walking around. I saw those stuffed animals but thought it was a bear or something. Well Erika identified it instantly as a MONKEY! I was so surprised that I had to buy it for her! :) It is just like her brown
monkey's that she loves so much but this is a Valentines Day one. I just couldn't believe she identified it before me.

Still annoyed about that camera in her face! Right now I am glad that Erika is a pacifier baby because it helps keep the cold out of her mouth. I actually offer it to her when we are going outside. Otherwise I have seen her out in the freezing cold with her mouth hanging right open and the cold air heading straight to her little throat! So in this instance...it's a good thing! You know there is always a positive in a negative! Anyway....stay tuned for part 2...the day with Grandma.

Yes I am loving that coat! I am so glad you guys had such a nice day together. Nothing like shopping and bonding with three generations!
