All three of us had a difficult time sleeping away from home. And having Erika at the foot of our bed just made things worse for all of us. I came home very sleep deprived which is why I am so sick. I have to say it was worth it because I never get to see Sharon or Nicole...but still it was rough with the lack of sleep. Erika adjusted during the day no problem...it was the night time that seemed to cause the problem.

The picture above was taken on the day Erika went to her very first movie! We took a chance and went to see Marley & Me which was an AWESOME movie...sad but still awesome. Anyway, Peter and I weren't sure how it would go with Erika and we were prepared for the worst. Both of us really wanted to see the movie since we used to be big "movie goers" and haven't been to a movie since before she was born. So at first it was difficult because Erika was whiny and didn't want to sit down. But then I stood to the side and rocked her to sleep. She woke up a little more than half way through the movie because of a dog barking (in the movie) and then she kinda just
lounged quietly on Peter and I! I am not looking to push my luck any more on that type of outing again any time soon. It was too stressful worrying if I was bothering the people around us!

Sharon's mother was so sweet and had presents waiting for Erika. One of which was the
cabbage patch kid in the picture above. Erika LOVES taking care of this doll. I spent
allot of alone time with
Erika in the mornings while Peter would try to catch a little sleep and Sharon and Nicole were still sleeping. I found such enjoyment watching her take care of her baby. She was putting her "night night" in the picture above. She even hugs her and gives her a kiss.

In this picture she had just fed her baby (in the booster seat we borrowed from Michelle) and she was cleaning up the baby's face. She actually requested to do that! What a little Mommy I have on my hands.
So guess who REALLY REALLY LOVED Erika? Yup Nicole did. We had wondered how she would react because Nicole is used to being Peter and my "adopted daughter" and now she had to share our attention. She did better than great. Awww....both of our daughters in one picture!
Next post - the trip home. Still sick...need more rest!
