I know it has been forever since I have posted and I apologize to all the blog followers that Erika has. The three of us went for a road trip to North Carolina. Sharon (my friend since 4th grade) and her 11 year old daughter live there. This was the first time that they met Erika and so it was extra exciting. The trip took about twelve hours going and 11 coming home.
Erika did really well in the car. It would be a lie if I said it was smooth sailing! But truly she was great. Only complaints she had was when she was having her usual intestinal problems. Other than that she slept, snacked and talked to us. Erika was a good sport about being in the car so long.
The first night when we arrived, it was late so we didn't do too much. Just set everything up and then attempted to get Erika to bed. She is a very routine and set in her ways type of kid. So when we placed her in the pack and play to go night night...she flipped out. It was a rough night to say the least!
