Today we celebrated Erika's grandpa's birthday (Peters father). We spent the start of the day preparing for the visit. Cooking, baking and cleaning. I have discovered a few times already that the key to a good visit is to have as much food prepared ahead as possible. So Erika and I worked hard at preparing the cake and baked
ziti early this morning.
One of my favorite stories from today happened early this morning. Erika and I were cuddling on the couch and were watching
Oobi on Noggin.
Oobi told us to wave to the astronaut that was going by and guess what Erika did??? YUP she waved! It was so cute because I didn't expect that out of my 10 month old baby!
Erika is always on the go and it is difficult to get much done. She isn't too satisfied with just being plopped in something like her
jumperoo any more. She really wants to explore her surroundings. We took the walker outside today but that didn't seem to work so well.
Erika was so excited that her grandparents were coming over today! Ironically it is my mothers birthday. But we had Grandpa's celebration today (even though it isn't till the 13
th). I have a few cute pictures that will have to wait till tomorrow from today's celebration. I am tired and have to face work in the morning!
