It may sound corny but I have this overwhelming feeling of thankfulness tonight. I look at Erika and just can't believe that she is mine to love and raise. What an incredible gift from above. Then of course there is Peter who is my best friend for life. Despite any differences he and I have, in my heart I still feel that we were meant for each other. I absolutely love my students. They fill every day with such enjoyment and warmth. I am not exactly over flowing in the friend department but the ones I have are so caring and genuine. I am very thankful for the family that Erika has in her life because I know how important that will be for her. I just really feel lucky to have so many people to be thankful for. I can honestly say that I feel cared for and loved. I can surely feel God's love (and Opa's) shining down on me.
So, this week sure has been a BUSY one and thank goodness I am off tomorrow. Today after working all day, I went to the doctor, then to my friends house and then to a candle party. Oh my goodness I am about ready to drop! Erika was great through it all. She is definitely a trooper. I am dieing to buy that Fisher Price Choo Choo train...so maybe tomorrow!

That was such a sweet post! I can't believe we have been friends for 20 years! Erika is the light of your life and it shows! You are a great mom!
